Preventing Credit Card Processing Disputes

Ways to prevent high risk credit card processing disputes:
1. Keep a constant check on purchase orders from abroad especially orders from customers who are not regular. Off shore merchant accounts can be easily hacked by fraudsters.
2. Putting down mandatory requirement for CVC or CVV2 code on payment form ensures to validate the identity of a credit card user.
3. If you ever find a different name appearing on the customer statement, bring it to the notice of your customer and cross check their authenticity.
4. It is always advisable to cross check details even on minute suspicion. It’s better to take some trouble in verification rather than facing huge financial losses later. You can even send an email to your customer to verify a purchase order.
5. Maintaining constant check over the volume of purchase order is also very helpful. Abrupt increase in volume should pave way for suspicion.
The clerical staff supervising the high risk credit card processing must be well informed and trained to handle the trickiest situations, which are inevitable.
